  • April 9 – Jordan Neiman (DMA candidate at the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music) performs Fantasia on Tin koinin Anastasin for organ, Holy Trinity – St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Cincinnati, OH.

  • August 24 – Carlo Aonzo and Sabine Spath perform the world premiere of Di nuovo in ritardo (“Late again…”) at the faculty recital of the Accademia Internazionale di Mandolino e Chitarra, in Aqui Terme, Italy.

  • August 24 – Italian premiere of Philoxenia at the faculty recital of the Accademia Internazionale di Mandolino e Chitarra, in Aqui Terme, Italy.

  • August 26 -l’Orchestra dell’Accademia Internazionale di Mandolino e Chitarra performs a newly commissioned work (TBA), in Aqui Terme, Italy.

  • April 9 – Providence Mandolin Orchestra performs The Kalamazoo Suite in the Rehoboth Antiquarian Society Arts in the Village series at Goff Memorial Hall, Rehoboth, MA.

  • April 17 – Dr. Robert Margo performs Dimitris Ohrwürmer in Hingham, MA.

  • April 17 – Rene Izquiero conducts Carlo Aonzo’s Manhattan Workshop orchestra in the NY premiere of the Kalamazoo Swag at Flamenco Latino, New York, New York.

  • April 24 – Mark & Beverly Davis perform Slain by Somnolence in concert at The Vanilla Bean Café, Pomfret, Connecticut.

  • May 15 – The Providence Mandolin Orchestra performs The Kalamazoo Suite at Lily Pads, Peace Dale, RI.

  • July 15 – Mark & Beverly Davis perform Slain by Somnolence at the New York International Mandolin Festival, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, Hunter College, CUNY, New York, New York.

  • August 22-27 – New American Mandolin Ensemble performs Philoxenia (world premiere) at the 45th Festival Internacional de Plectro de la Rioja, with concert appearances at the Museo Würth in Agoncilla, the hermitage in Soto en Cameros, Theatro Gran Coliseo in Fuenmayor, and at the festival closing concert at the Sala Gonzalo de Berceo in Logroño, Spain.

  • October 8 – FUMC Cabaret singers perform “Don’t You Marry a Man (Girl) from Michigan (Ohio),” duet for soprano and tenor w/ piano accompaniment, in Ann Arbor, MI.

  • November 5 – CMSA orchestra performs Kalamazoo Swag in King of Prussia, PA. Dr. Jim Bates conducting.

  • November 13 – KMGO performs world premiere of The Kneeling Indian Rag at First Congregational Church, Kalamazoo, MI. Philip Rugel conducting.

  • November 20 – Robert Margo performs Dimitris Ohrwürmer in concert with Eclectika at Main Library, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. 

  • December 2 – KMGO @ Art Hop performs various holiday arrangements by Kellaris. Museum, Kalamazoo, Michigan.

  • December 4 – Feast of St. Nicholas Concert @ Holy Trinity – St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Cincinnati. Program includes works by Kellaris for brass quintet, soprano solo, and SATB choral works.

  • December 9 – Takoma Park Singers perform world premiere of David’s Town (SATB a cappella) by David Frye, arr. James Kellaris, TPS 2016 Winter Holiday Concert at Silver Spring United Methodist Church, Silver Spring, MD. Carole Whittam conducting.

  • December 11 – Seattle Mandolin Orchestra performs I Saw Three Ships and In Dulci Jubilo (arr. J. Kellaris) at Bellevue Library, Bellvue, WA. Joseph White, conducting.

  • January 23 – Gravenstein Mandolin Ensemble performs Je te Veux at First Presbyterian Church in Petaluma, California.

  • March 1 – Olivia Duffy (mandolin) and Rene Berblinger (classical guitar) premiere Choro for Olivia (original version) at Brazilian First Sunday, Portland, Oregon.

  • March 8 – Austin Mandolin Orchestra premieres Persephonia on the Vox Novus Composers’ Voice series at the Blackerby Recital Hall, Austin, TX. Joel Hobbs conducting.

  • April 25 – Kalamazoo Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra and Dayton Mandolin Orchestra perform Choro for Olivia (orchestral version), Don’t You Marry A Man From Michigan (world premiere), The Kalamazoo Swag, and various arrangements, First Presbyterian Church, Yellow Springs, Ohio.

  • December 6 – Various vocal and choral works to be performed at the 1st Annual Saint Nicholas Days Concert at Holy Trinity – St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Details forthcoming.
